Restaurant experience desirable. Excellent Culinary skills and excellent communication skills.
Summary of Position:
Cleans certain areas of the Dining room and follows the BOH cleaning schedule. Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Puts away all the food deliveries, if working in the am shifts. Keep the dish area and the HOH clean and organized.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load, run and unload dish machine.
- Watch dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
- Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area.
- Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
- Bag and haul dish area trash to dumpster at designed times.
- Ensures all work is completed or is passed to co-worker before asking to leave for the day.
- Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to the management team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisors.
- Follows all other REUNIONKITCHEN+DRINK policies and procedures.
- Acts as a team player, recognizing and helping any fellow worker that needs help.
- Asks for help when unable to wash all dishes or other tasks in a timely manner.
- Supports management staff and fellow staff members.
- Accepts direction from management.
- Comes to work on time and prepared for every shift with the following: All required necessities including a positive attitude, high morale, commitment and appropriate uniform.
- Achieves all performance goals.
- Remains flexible in daily schedule changes depending on the needs of the restaurant.
- Lifting and carrying of items not to exceed 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in wet environment.
- Extensive and prolonged walking, standing, bending, and reaching required.
- Occasional sitting and twisting required.
- Grasping and fine manipulation using hands required.
- Ability to work up to 8-10 hours per day.
- Must have a current food handler’s card or any required by law in given state.
- Must be able to work PM/AM shifts and committed to work as a dishwasher up to a year.
- Must complete California workplace harassment training and/or any additional training required by law.
